The photographic industry has changed dramatically over recent times, with new technologies and dramatically changing markets. Certain things have and almost certainly will always remain constant though:
People will always want a good photographic record of important events in their lives
Commerce will always require quality images to help market their products and services
Publishers will always require images to publish along side written words
This course develops not only your ability to deliver these needs, but it also builds an appreciation of the industry and starts you on a path to networking within this industry; something which is inescapable if you are to achieve long term success.
Core Modules: These modules provide foundation knowledge for the Proficiency Award 2 In Photography.
Elective Modules: In addition to the core modules, students study any 2 of the following 3 modules.
Note that each module in the Proficiency Award 2 In Photography is a short course in its own right, and may be studied separately.

How will this course advance my career?

College Graduate vs. Non-Graduate Earnings
The National Centre for Education Statistics (NCES) analyses employee earnings data biennially, according to education level. Findings indicate that workers with a qualification earn significantly more than those without. Since the mid-1980s, education has played a large part in potential wages, with bachelor's degree holders taking home an average of 66% more than those with only a high school diploma do. While college-educated workers' wages have increased over the past two decades, those with only a high school education have seen decreases in annual salaries in the same time period (nces.ed.gov).
