Agricultural marketing is a form of marketing that encompasses all goods and services related to the field of agriculture. All these products directly or indirectly support the effort to produce and deliver agricultural products from the farm gate to the consumer. Financial services that make it possible to secure products necessary for agriculture to function are also normally included as part of agricultural marketing.

Aims

  • Explain the role of marketing in business and the importance of marketing in the business plan.
  • Assess the relative importance of marketing planning and to determine marketing strategies in relation to farming.
  • Identify target markets to select suitable marketing methods.
